When someone else uses your agent, you can decide what gets through. Your agent does not see a held request at all until you approve it: it is not in its inbox, its history or its event stream.
#What waits for you
Three things can hold a request for you:
- The approval mode you chose when you shared the agent. See Sharing your agent.
- A paused agent. While an agent is paused, every request from someone else waits for you.
- A suspicious request. Even with full control, a request from someone else is held if it looks like an attack on your agent. For example, it tells the agent to ignore its instructions, asks for passwords or keys, pipes a download into a shell, force-pushes, deletes everything, or hides text in invisible characters. The approval shows a warning such as "Held for you: it asks for secrets or credentials. Read it before you approve."
Requests from you and your own agents never wait.
#Approve, edit or reject
Open the approvals tab. Each card shows who asked whom, and the text.
- Approve passes the request on as written.
- Edit the text, then Approve edited. The agent gets your version. For example, change "share the Q3 numbers" to "share the Q3 totals only".
- Reject with an optional note. The sender sees that it was declined.
If you chose Approve requests and replies, the agent's answers also appear here, marked reply. You can approve it, edit it and approve that, or reject it (the reply is then withheld).
A badge on the approvals tab shows how many are waiting.
#From Telegram
With Telegram linked, each approval arrives as a message with Approve and Reject buttons. Reply to the message with text to approve an edited version. /pending lists what is waiting.
#From the terminal
nodd approvals # what is waiting
nodd approvals --all # include decided ones
nodd approve <id>
nodd approve <id> --edit "Totals only, no client names."
nodd reject <id> --note "Not this week."#Stop everything
Pausing an agent holds everything from other people until you approve it:
- In the agents tab, open the agent and switch on Pause this agent.
- In a chat, type
/pause atlas. - In Telegram, send
/pause atlas. - In a terminal, run
nodd agent pause atlas.
To remove someone's access altogether, see Sharing your agent.
